Access Elevator, Inc. attended all four days of the 2026 NAEC Convention & Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. With many of our staff participating, the event provided an opportunity to explore new technology, experience equipment firsthand, and connect with the wider elevator and accessibility community.
From the busy convention floor to educational sessions, there was plenty to discover. Our team left feeling energized, inspired, and motivated to bring fresh ideas back to our everyday work.
More Than 200 Exhibits Featuring Industry Innovation
Hosted by the National Association of Elevator Contractors, the convention brought together industry professionals from across the globe. The exposition featured more than 200 exhibits showcasing the newest technology and products in the elevator industry.
Our staff explored elevators, platform lifts, stair lifts, and more, taking time to test equipment, watch demonstrations, and ask questions. Seeing these products in person offered a closer look at their operation, design, and potential applications.
The variety of exhibits encouraged us to explore beyond familiar equipment and learn about different approaches to accessibility. It was an opportunity to see what is available today while getting a first look at developments that could shape the industry’s future.
Building Knowledge and Sharing Ideas
The convention also offered dynamic educational sessions designed to expand attendees’ knowledge and support professional growth. Topics and conversations throughout the event gave industry professionals opportunities to learn from experts, exchange perspectives, and discover ways to become more effective in their roles.
For Access, continued learning is an important part of serving our customers. Opportunities to ask detailed questions and hear directly from equipment specialists help our team build the knowledge we bring to customer conversations, project planning, installations, and service.
Connecting With a Global Industry Community
One of the most memorable parts of the event was seeing such a large community come together. The convention created opportunities to connect with peers from across the globe, share experiences, and learn from people working in different areas of the industry.
There was energy throughout the show. Exhibitors were eager to demonstrate their equipment, attendees were engaged in conversations, and every stop offered something new to consider. It was wonderful to see familiar partners while also meeting new people and discovering the work happening across the broader industry.
Returning Energized and Motivated
After four days of exploring, learning, and connecting, our team came away with a renewed enthusiasm for the work we do. Getting hands-on with equipment and being surrounded by people passionate about their industry reminded us why continued education and collaboration matter.
We’re grateful to the organizers, exhibitors, educators, and fellow attendees who made the 2026 NAEC Convention & Expo such a valuable experience. We look forward to putting that motivation to work as we continue helping people throughout Wisconsin and Illinois enjoy greater accessibility and independence.
