The Freecurve revolutionizes the curved stairlift, thanks to its unique single-rail design. Is your staircase a spiral? Is it narrow or very steep? Does it have multiple intermittent landings? No problem. With the Handicare Freecurve, you get a smooth, stable ride—and a simple, clean look—on even the most complicated staircase.

Installation of the custom rails by Access is typically straightforward and can be completed without additional modifications to your home.

Features

Freecurve Power Options

Active Seat
A woman stands beside a stairlift at the base of a curved staircase in a bright, modern living room, smiling at the camera.

The optional Active Seat option makes sitting down or getting up from your Freecurve much easier. With just a pull of a lever your movements are supported, keeping strain off your joints and muscles. (Available with Alliance and Elegance seats.)

Power Fold Rail
A white handrail and the Freecurve Curved Stair Lift by Handicare ascend the stairs in overlapping images, tracing a path from the floor to a closed door.

Doorways are accommodated easily with a power fold rail. The lift will automatically fold up and out of the way, leaving the path clear below.

Dual Swivel
A maroon-seated Freecurve Curved Stair Lift by Handicare is installed on a residential staircase with a wooden railing and beige carpet, set against a light blue wall, ensuring smooth and reliable stair lift installation at home.

With an 45 degree riding angle, a Freecurve can leave ample leg room even staircases as tight as 28″

Panda Seat
A smiling boy in a green shirt and jeans sits on a Freecurve Curved Stair Lift by Handicare, holding the controls beside a staircase with white railings in a cozy home.

Sometimes kids need a stairlift too. The Freecurve’s Panda Seat is here to provide accessibility for your younger loved ones.

Power Swivel Seat
A smiling older woman with blonde hair sits atop a staircase on the Freecurve Curved Stair Lift by Handicare, which is installed along a black railing. She wears a light pink top, light jacket, gray pants, and heels.

Some individuals struggle to use a manual swivel chair. When equipped with a power swivel motor, you can rest assured that you turning your chair toward the open landing will be safe and easy.

Power Fold Footrest
A Freecurve Curved Stair Lift by Handicare with a beige cushioned seat and armrests is installed along a black modern staircase, offering accessible travel to upper floors.

A power fold footrest eliminates the need for bending down to clear the stairway for pedestrian traffic. With this feature, folding the footrest is as easy as flipping a switch.
