Cassandra came to Access from Society’s Assets, her local Independent Living Center, where she learned the importance of making the world more accessible and inclusive for everyone. She is also a board member for the Independent Living Council of Wisconsin that helps shape the State Plan for Independent Living. This award symbolizes her “relentless” dedication to disability rights and ensuring that the people she works with have all the resources they need to live the life of their choosing.

Cassandra intends to use her knowledge and experience to not only assist our customers in getting the support they deserve, but also to lift up Wisconsin’s Independent Living Network with trainings, resources, and shining a light on the amazing work they do around our state. Together, we can make Wisconsin accessible for everyone.
