Access Elevator was proud to attend and sponsor Wehr Nature Center’s All Abilities Open House and ADA Celebration. The event brought the community together to celebrate accessibility, inclusion and the opportunity for people of all abilities to experience the beauty of nature.
A highlight of the celebration was the ribbon cutting for Wehr Nature Center’s new accessible boardwalk loop. The boardwalk was thoughtfully designed to allow people who use wheelchairs and other mobility devices to explore the nature preserve more safely and comfortably.
Guests had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful prairie surroundings, wildlife and more than 200 butterflies floating throughout the preserve. It was a memorable setting for an event focused on making outdoor spaces more welcoming and accessible to everyone.
At Access Elevator, we believe accessibility creates opportunities for people to participate more fully in their homes, communities and favorite activities. Projects like this accessible boardwalk help ensure that more individuals and families can enjoy everything nature has to offer.
