The first day of the Abilities Expo Chicago 2026 is officially in the books, and what an incredible start it has been!
Access Elevator is proud and excited to once again be part of one of the nation’s premier events dedicated to accessibility, mobility, and independent living. Taking place June 12-14 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center, the Abilities Expo brings together individuals with disabilities, caregivers, healthcare professionals, manufacturers, and accessibility experts from across the region.
From the moment the doors opened Friday morning, attendees filled the exhibit hall to explore the latest innovations in accessibility technology, mobility solutions, home modifications, adaptive equipment, and more. The energy throughout the show floor was inspiring as visitors had opportunities to connect with exhibitors, attend educational workshops, and experience adaptive activities designed to promote independence and inclusion. Highlights from the expo included the Adaptive Climbing Wall, Assistive Technology Showcase, GAMUT Village, informative workshops, complimentary loaner scooters, and the Wheelchair Repair Pavilion.
For the Access Elevator team, one of the best parts of the Abilities Expo is reconnecting with our valued partners and industry colleagues. Events like this provide a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships, share ideas, and collaborate on new ways to improve accessibility for the communities we serve. We are grateful to work alongside so many dedicated organizations and manufacturers who share our commitment to helping people live safely and independently.
