On Sunday, October 4, 2026, individuals and families from across the Chicago area will come together for Moving Day Chicago, A Walk for Parkinson’s. Access Elevator is proud to support this meaningful event and help raise awareness for everyone affected by Parkinson’s disease.
Moving Day Chicago brings together people living with Parkinson’s, their loved ones, caregivers and members of the community working toward better treatments and a cure. It is an opportunity to celebrate the strength of the Parkinson’s community while raising funds for essential care, research and resources.
This year, Access is supporting Team Tim, whose story has a personal connection to our team. Tim, the father of Access Elevator, Inc. or Roselle team member Kamryn, was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease in September 2017.
The years since his diagnosis have brought challenges and changes, but Parkinson’s has not slowed down Tim’s quick wit, sense of humor or jovial outlook on life. His strength and positivity are an inspiring reminder that while Parkinson’s may change a person’s journey, it does not define who they are.
Approximately one million Americans are living with Parkinson’s disease, and nearly 90,000 people are diagnosed each year. Every dollar raised through Moving Day helps support better care, innovative research and valuable resources that bring assistance, strength and hope to individuals and families facing the disease.
Access is proud to support Team Tim and the entire Parkinson’s community. Supporting independence and helping people overcome barriers are at the heart of what we do, and we are grateful to support an event that brings hope, strength and a sense of community to so many families.
