Yes, the wireless remote includes a "Keep Door Open" button, which temporarily disables the automatically-closing function. To close the door, just push the "Auto" button — the timer will start, and the door will close.
Does this door opener require regular maintenance?
While it is always possible that something could come up, the Olide Door Opener has no components requiring scheduled repair or replacement. This means it can last indefinitely without having to pay for additional service calls.
Do I need an electrical outlet close to the door?
A standard, non-switched, electrical outlet in the vicinity of the door is required. Longer power cords can also be used in lieu adding an additional outlet.
I have trouble using my hands. Can I still use this door opener?
There are several options for individuals with low manual dexterity. These include wave-to-open sensors, proximity sensors, floor pad sensors, and voice command sensors. Our accessibility experts will always work with you to understand your needs and find the best solution for you.
Will this work during a power outage?
No. While the absence of a battery eliminates the need for battery replacements and additional service calls, it also means that the automatic door opener will not work in the event of a power outage. In this case, the door will function the same as a manual door.
