At Access Elevator, Inc., accessibility and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. That is why we are proud to support Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month this March by sharing and promoting an important community initiative led by Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI).

MRI provides services that promote the growth, independence, and self-worth of children and adults with developmental disabilities, helping individuals live fuller, more independent lives within their communities.

Paint the Town Orange – March 9–13

MRI is inviting businesses, organizations, and community members to join their “Paint the Town Orange” campaign during the week of March 9–13.

This initiative celebrates the inclusion, contributions, and potential of people with developmental disabilities while bringing the community together to show visible support.

Participation is simple and completely free – all it takes is a little Orange Spirit.

How Businesses and Community Members Can Participate

🔵 Register to participate using the link or QR code included in MRI’s invitation.

🔵 Pick up your Paint the Town Orange kit at the MRI Main Campus between March 4–6 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Each kit includes:

• Orange paper chain decorations

• Display signage

• 10 orange lapel ribbons

🔵 Decorate your space from March 9–13 using the materials provided and encourage staff to wear the orange ribbons to show their support.

Take photos of your decorated space and team wearing orange, then tag MRI on Facebook so the community can celebrate together:

Turning Awareness into Action

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is about more than recognition – it is about creating communities where everyone belongs and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

At Access Elevator, Inc., we work every day to remove barriers and help people live more independent lives through accessibility solutions. Supporting initiatives like Paint the Town Orange is another way we can help amplify the message of inclusion and community support.
