Helping Illinois Residents Stay Safe, Independent & At Home
Frank Wasilewski, CEO of Access, recently joined WGN Radio to share exciting news for Illinois residents: funding has been renewed for a critical home modification program through the Illinois Network of Centers for Independent Living (INCIL). This grant is designed to help individuals with disabilities make necessary upgrades to their homes so they can continue living safely and independently.
What Is the Home Modification Grant?
The INCIL home modification grant provides financial assistance to eligible Illinois residents who need accessibility improvements in their homes. These modifications can include:

Wheelchair Ramps
-
Barrier-free showers.

-
Widened doorways.
-
And more.
These upgrades are not just for seniors. In fact, the average Access client is 37 years old, highlighting the wide range of people who benefit from this program—including individuals living with MS, MD, arthritis, or recovering from injury or surgery.
Who Qualifies?
To qualify, residents must:
-
Live in Illinois.
